RECEIVED

6 FEB 1332

OOL, OFFICE

We beg to refer to your letter of the 7th ult.

reference 82765/31 regarding the draft Articles of

Agreement providing for the transfer of the Wireless

Telegraph Services of the Hong Kong Government to this

Company, and as requested we will deal with the proposals

referred to in paragraphs 7 to 10 of your letter.

2.

As regards the Supplementary Agreement, we

note that it is considered that Article 2 is open to

some objection and that it is advisable that other

arrangements should be made for the administration of

the services during the period covered by the agreement.

3.

We are prepared therefore to agree to the

proposals outlined in your letter and to lend to the

Hong Kong Government the services of an engineer to be

in charge of the Government Wireless Station at Cape

d'Aguilar, who would be available to take over the

management of the Company's services during the transition

period.

4.

The engineer we should propose to send out for

this purpose would be Mr. G. Madgwick who has had twelve

years experience with the Marconi Company
